Dr Banoth Chandravathi


Dr. Banoth Chandravathi, a doctor by profession, was elected as a Member of Legislative Assembly in 2009 in the combined state of Andhra Pradesh. She was the youngest in the country to be elected as an MLA. She was appointed the First Member of Telangana Public Service Commission by Government of Telangana on December 18, 2014.

She born in a poor tribal family in Khammam district. She completed her medicine in 2009 before she was elected as an MLA. She was one of the very active members from the district in the Telangana movement.

She has work experience with various organizations of Women, Youth, Medical and Health, Teachers Union, NGO's, Junior Doctors Association, unorganized sectors and issues related to contract employees. As a representative of youth and women in the state her aim is to ensure the peaceful economic, social, political and cultural development of the Telangana State.
