Eversince its inception, it is the endeavour of TSPSC to live up to its constitutional mandate and the expectations of the unemployed youth, especially in the light of the formation of new State of Telangana and one of the prime demands of the Telangana Agitation being its rightful share in the Government Jobs. A number of reforms have been carried out by the Commission to expedite the recruitment process and bring in a fair element of transparency. The Commission feels encouraged by the positive feedback of the candidates on the initiatives it has taken, which is evident by the fact that 13.65 lakh candidates registered with TSPSC-One Time Registration within a span of 1½ year, as on October,2016.
TSPSC was formed at a time when the scores of unemployed youth were eagerly waiting for notification for Government Jobs. Telangana State Public Service Commission within a period of one year has issued 24 Notifications for various Government Posts and exams for 23 notifications already completed as on October, 2016 and most the candidates selected by TSPSC have even joined the Government Service. The stringent selection procedures were adopted by TSPSC and the reforms were brought about in the constitution of Selection Board comprising of highly qualified subject experts and for the first time Personality Assessor was included in the interview board to assess the individual traits of the candidates to ensure that the best talent is selected for various Government jobs.
Reform and innovation are a continuous process and the Commission will continue with its pursuit to bring in more reforms and transparency in its functioning. Within 20 months of its functioning, TSPSC has blazed ahead with rapid technological strides in utilizing the Information & Technology in conduct of exams by adopting CBRT mode of online exam and to become one of the leading State PSC in the country to have digitized its operations with an unmatched quest for excellence.
