Eversince its inception, it is the endeavour of TSPSC to live up to its constitutional mandate and the expectations of the unemployed youth, especially in the light of the formation of new State of Telangana and one of the prime demands of the Telangana Agitation being its rightful share in the Government Jobs. The Commission feels encouraged by the positive feedback of the candidates on the initiatives it has taken, which is evident by the fact that 18.27 lakh candidates registered with TSPSC-One Time Registration within a span of 21⁄2 year, as on October, 2017.
TSPSC was formed at a time when the scores of unemployed youth were eagerly waiting for notification for Government Jobs. Telangana State Public Service Commission within a period of 2 years has issued 73 Notifications for various Government Posts and exams for 56 notifications already completed as on October, 2017 and most the candidates selected by TSPSC have even joined the Government Service. The stringent selection procedures were adopted by TSPSC and the reforms were brought about in the constitution of Selection Board comprising of highly qualified subject experts and for the first time Personality Assessor was included in the interview board to assess the individual traits of the candidates to ensure that the best talent is selected for various Government jobs.
Reform and innovation are a continuous process and the Commission will continue with its pursuit to bring in more reforms and transparency in its functioning. Within 30 months of its functioning, TSPSC has blazed ahead with rapid technological strides in utilizing the Information & Technology in conduct of exams by adopting CBRT mode of online exam and to become one of the leading State PSC in the country to have digitized its operations with an unmatched quest for excellence. Furthermore TSPSC has been collecting the bio metric data of the candidates appearing for various examinations for the purpose of verification to avoid impersonation. TSPPC received the SKOCH Award for Excellence in adopting Technology to Examination Systems.
A number of reforms have been carried out by the Commission to expedite the recruitment process and bring in a fair element of transparency. On the anvil is ''Smart Office System'', wherein TSPSC contemplating to computerize all its functional modules, which will be more transparent, responsive and accountable and which will further speed up the recruitment process.
After my unanimous election as Chairman of Standing Committee of National Conference at the 19th National Conference meeting of Chairpersons of State PSCs held on 20th February, 2017 at Gujarath PSC, I have been working on various common issues concerning State PSCs. The Standing Committee is the highest policy making body of National Conference and plays a pivotal role in exchange of ideas and sharing of common concerns for improving the functioning of State PSCs.
Telangana State Public Service Commission has recently issued Notification for 8792 teacher posts under Teachers Recruitment Test (TRT) on 21.10.2017. Recently 31 new Districts were formed by reorganizing the 10 Districts of Telangana State and Teachers Recruitment Test is the first notification where the exam is conducted for 31 Districts.
